The Small Picture
If you put aside the money you were going to use on that snack at the gas station or full-price jeans you didn’t really need, and sow that back into the kingdom, it’s not actually extra spending.
Everything adds up! It doesn’t have to be a sacrifice of $5 for one thing, but let it add up to $5 for that week.
Look At How Much You Can Save:
| Water instead of juice |
70¢ |
| Candy bar |
$1 |
| Matinee rather than evening movie |
$3 |
| Making morning coffee at home twice a week |
$8 |
| Case of 6 waters instead of individually |
$4 |
Let It Become A Lifestyle
As we get into this habit it will become our lifestyle and free us to make wiser spending choices. When the body of Christ gets into this mindset we will be much more effective in changing the nations (not just our own).
Regardless of the shift in economy, if God is calling you to arise and be united with this, He will be faithful in providing for your needs (Matt 6:33).
Do not live in fear!
Luke 16: He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much. Matthew 25:23 (Jesus speaking about the talent parable): Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you a ruler over many things.
This is not for a temporary reward, but one of eternal gain.
